Brilliant pianist Joyce Yang brings her sparkling and award-winning talent back to CMH in this thrilling program of Russian classics, joining the Tresemble for one memorable night.

Joyce Yang, piano
Ms. Yang came to international attention in 2005 when she won the silver medal at the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. She last appeared in Honolulu with CMH in 2014 and with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra in 2016. Watch for more details about Ms. Yang’s special fundraising concert for CMH at a private home, and two master classes!

Last season, Ms. Yang made her Minnesota Orchestra debut under the direction of Roderick Cox with a performance of Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto and then performed with the Charleston Symphony, stepping in for Andre Watts. Ms. Yang showcases a wide array of repertoire all over the United States in return appearances with numerous symphonies and loves chamber music. She continues her enduring partnerships with the Alexander String Quartet and violinist Augustin Hadelich and has toured a thrilling solo recital program featuring works by Carl Vine, Debussy, Granados, Ginastera, Grieg, Scarlatti, and Schumann.
